Themes and sessions

 The themes of the 3rd Kerguelen Plateau Symposium on marine ecosystems and fisheries are :

• Marine geomorphology, oceanography, biogeochemistry and microbiology  
• Climate changes and their impacts on marine ecosystems
• Advances in marine ecosystem knowledge/marine food-webs
• Developments in fisheries resource assessment and by-catch mitigation
• Resource management, marine policy and spatial planning

The themes might be revised to account for submitted abstracts.

Output from the Symposium

The submitted abstracts will be compiled into a booklet that will be distributed at the the Symposium. After the Symposium participants will have the opportunity to update/replace their abstracts with an extended version. This final 'Book of extended abstracts' will include the synthesis of the Symposium and will be published as a PDF document.

We are currently investigating the possibility of publishing papers presented at the Symposium in a special issue of a scientific journal.
