on Marine Ecosystems and Fisheries
31 Mar-2 Apr 2025 Concarneau (France)

Attend > Concarneau

Welcome to Concarneau, a small coastal town in southern Brittany, located at the very tip of the Région Bretagne, France. Once upon a time, Concarneau was a major sardine and tuna fishing port. Over the years it has dramatically transformed to become a very attractive touristic town. Concarneau was initially restricted to a small Island surrounded by strong fortified walls built during the 1300s. The original town has survived until today and constitutes what now is called the « Ville Close ». Concarneau is also famous for being the entry port to the Glenan archipelago, worth visiting too, only a few nautical miles offshore.
